Music Theory
"CHORDIALLY YOURS" - By: Dale J. Miller and Charles P. Cabell Jr. - This is a book about harmony: how tones are combined to make chords. But it is not a "chord book". A chord book simply lists all of the common (and sometimes not so common) combinations of tones that have been given recognizable chord names such as "C-seventh" and "D-flat minor". What we have tried to do here through text and exercises is to teach the reader how to build and recognize chords with great fluency. If you have never studied music before, this is a great place to start because it takes you from notes to scales to keys to chords to music analysis; and does so with a light, non-professional touch. Even if you are a music professional, there is much in this book you may have missed along the way that is well worth reviewing.
